The main field of their application is in the petrochemical industry, where they are used on a large scale to catalyze cracking, alkylation, and isomerization reactions. Development of the optimal catalyst for a specific reaction is one of the main goals of research on zeolites. To design a catalyst for a certain application, the physicochemical properties of the zeolite, the mechanism of a reaction, and the structure-selectivity performance are essential. The main questions are therefore, what is the active site in a zeolite, where is it, how to reach it, and how does it function in a specific reaction? This t
