This is intended to be a plain-English guide for stakeholders about the requirements in relation to cosmetics. It is an administrative document only and is not a legally binding document. Cosmetics Standard This is the Standard for Cosmetics made by the Minister under section 81 of the ICNA Act. The Cosmetics Standard sets out the “rules” or “conditions” that apply to certain cosmetics. The Cosmetics Standard is a legislative instrument made under the ICNA Act and must be complied with.
