The Analysis and Research on the Motivation of Secondary
Vocational School Students in English Learning:A Case Study of NO.1 Vocational Technical School of Nanning
Abstract: This paper is about the analysis and research on the motivation of secondary vocational school students in English learning. It is based on the research of the previous theories from famous physiologist and scholars and the current situation of vocation school students in English learning. the research objects are from the 141 grade 2 students of NO.1 Vocational Technical School of Nanning. In order to make this research have a high credibility, it was processed by class observation, questionnaire and interview. The result of the research showed that the extrinsic motivation is the most critical factor in effecting the motivation of vocational school students especially in the motivation of learning-situated context and test score. Besides, the important role of teachers cannot be ignored for the reason that teachers are the direct factors on the extrinsic motivation, teacher is the guide and organizer in the improvement and establishment of students?motivation. In the end of the paper the author proposed some suggestions on promoting motivation of vocational school students in learning English including enriching the teaching methods, changing the attitude
