C O M Industry Size - Global l Total management consulting revenues worldwide are estimated at $62B and are growing between 10-30% annually from country to country.1 l From 1995 to 2000, the consulting industry was growing at over 15%.2 l In 1998, top 50 firms grew 27%.3 l In 2000 target growth rates were extremely driven mostly by Y2K and other system related projects – KPMG was striving for 38%. – Actual growth of top 50 firms was 12%3 Recently demand has decreased significantly Top 50 firms grew only 2% in 20013 Only 11 of CN50 grew their revenue by double digits in 2001 (com pared to 56% in 2000, 72% in 1999).3 • Demand for IT consulting fell by 6 percent in 2001.4 War for talent issue isn’t as significant as it was – hence companies can find the talent they want without resorting to consulting • Currently estimated to be more than 250,000 consultants in the U.S.4 /mc/overview.html 2. 3.
