Content Migration Process IntroductionThe goal of the content migration process is to move content including text, images, documents, links, meta data and forms, from our current sites into the Medseek sites. It is important to note that due to a very strict timeline for completing the content migration phase, this is NOT the time to build out new content, new page layouts, add new images, etc. We are simply moving the content over and there will be opportunities in the future for each hospital’s marketing departments to build out new sections or customize their content.Throughout the process you will be working within three areas designated in the boxes below:These colored boxes are carried through this document to indicate to which area an instruction refers.Current CMS – Refers to the current content management system, or the back end of our current sites. (Login to this portion is at ) Current Site – Refers to the current external website. The site address for each site is at the top of your assignment spreadsheet.Blue BoxOrange BoxMedseek Sitemaker – Refers to the new Medseek CMS, or the back end of the new sites. (Log-in pages are specific per site and are located at the top of your assignment spreadsheet.)You will be able to both work in the CMS and see the new live page within the Medseek ToolPink BoxIt is recommended that you open each of the above either in separate browser windows or tabs, depending on your preference.Note – your usernames and passwords will be provided individually.Organizing your files:You will be saving images to the documents section of your computer. It is recommended that you create a new folder for each site you work on. Ex. “Summit Medical_Site Move” Any documents or images pertaining to that specific site should be saved in the corresponding folder.
