M2 Unit3 The curse of the mummy（reading）教学设计 孙莲 一、教材分析 牛津高中英语模块二包括三个单元，第三单元主要涉及神秘的古代文明。古代文明充满许多未知的因素，是古代人类集体智慧的结晶。不仅是学生需要了解的历史，也是许多考古学家在不断研究的领域。对于此方面，学生也充满了好奇。本课文是关于我们既熟知又陌生的埃及金字塔以及有关木乃伊的诅咒。学生学习本课文能对此话题有个科学的了解。 本设计以阅读文章为信息载体，通过输入、输出手段，使得学生感知教学内容，理解教学内容，并以教学内容展开听和说的训练，培养学生的综合语言能力。本设计将教材提供的各种活动并补充活动，以便更好地达成本节课的教学目标。 二、教学目标 1. 知识和能力目标 了解一些有用的关于金字塔，埃及，探险的单词，词组表达：curse, explorer, adventurous, curious, preserve, secretary, coincidence. 训练学生预测课文信息的能力，看到课文标题，the curse of mummy，猜测文章想要表达的内容，根据猜测内容带着问题阅读文章。 2. 情感和价值观 使学生了解神秘的世界，激发他们对未知世界的好奇之心，以及学会用科学的方法来解释现象。 设计思想： 即使在现在的先进的科技下，还是存在许多用科学无法解释的现象，而这些现象不仅为科学家感兴趣，就算学生也同样充满好奇心。本节课通过一些有关金字塔的图片，陵墓里珍贵的宝物来激发学生想要探险的兴趣。带着学生走入几千年前传说受着诅咒的法老陵墓，感受其神秘，危险之感。本篇文章其实是以探险家——霍华德 卡特为主线讲述了他探险最大的最有名的法老陵墓（图坦卡门）整节课就是让学生根据阅读策略反复地阅读，跳读，细读。从整体到部分，不时穿插听的练习，口头表达的练习，然后巩固课文内容，结构回顾。最后让学生进行一个访问，采访对有关木乃伊和卡特的事。 三 教学的重点和难点 教学重点 Improve students’ ability of getting the information in the text.
