With this reason, several leading steelworks in Europe have recently installed and operated their own designed thicker slab casters. Since 2006, POSCO has also considered thicker slab casters in new places inside Pohang and Gwangyang steelworks. Finally, last year POSCO has established two new steel plants in both Pohang steelworks and rd rd Gwangyang steelworks.
