中考复习－数词 分类：数词有基数词和序数词两种。 一、基数词的构成( one,two,three,four) ? hundred，thousand，million，billion表达数量 1．前面有具体的数词（或several ），不能在它们的后面加s。 如： six hundred students， 一万棵树___________________ 2. 前面没有具体数字时用复数表示“成…上…”, 后面必须要有of, 如hundreds of students , some thousands of tourists 二、序数词的构成 数字 序数词变化规则 例词 1、2、3 不规则变化 first第一; second第二third第三 419 基数词词尾加th 特殊fifth第五eighth第八ninth第九twelfth第十二 fourth第四nineteenth十九 20、30 ……90 ty变为tie再加th twenty→twentieth第二十ninety→ninetieth第九十 两位数或多位数 整数除外只变个位数 (hundred, thousand等只在词尾加th) one hundred and fifty-ninth 第一百五十九hundredth 第一百 ?写出对应的序数词 one ________ two ________ three ________ four _________ five __________ eight _______ nine________ twelve_______ twenty _______ thirty-one _________ hundred___________ ninety_________ eight-five__________ 【温馨提示】 (1)序数词要加定冠词the但若序数词前有形容词性物主代词或名词所有格时省略the。例如 Tom made the mistake for the third time. = It was Tom’s third time to make the mistake. 这是汤姆第三次出错。 (2)序数词前加a/an表示“又一再一”。例如 Even though the Greens have 3 children, they still want a fourth one. 尽管格林夫妇已有3个孩子可他们还想再要一个。 序数词可以用阿拉伯数字和序数词拼写的最后两个字母简写。例如1st第一2nd第二3rd第三4th第四。 三、数词的应用 1．分数的表达：分子用基数词，分母用序数词，分子大于“1”，分母则加“s” 如：1／3 one third，2／3 two thirds； 另外：1／2 a（one）half; 1／4one fourth或a（one）quarter; 3／4 three fourths或three quarters。 　Attention:Two-fifths of the students in our class _______ (be) girls. Two-thirds of the bread ______(be) for boys. 2．表示百分数：5℅：five percent (per cent) ．其他用法： 1）基数词＋单数名词＋形容词构成合成形容词。 Eg.一个五岁的男孩 a five-year-old boy 2）具体数词＋metre（s）／kilometre（s）／kilo（s）long ／ high ／tall ／away等。 My house is eight hundred meters away from the school.（有具体数字不用far） My house is far away from my school. 3）表示几十岁，eg. 在他三十几岁时 in his thirties, 在他四十几岁时______ 4）倍数的表达： (一倍用once，两twice，两倍以上用基数词＋times。如：5倍five times)。 例如： China is four times as large as Europe.
