Information for Applicants and Parents – 2012 entry • • UWC China Application Form for entry in 2012 - Instructions Application Procedure - 2012 entry HOW TO APPLY (1) Download and complete the UWC China Application Form in English; (2) Send TWO copies of the application package to the UWC National Committee of China to arrive by January 15, 2012. Each copy of the package must include a. All Sections A to G of the Application Form; b. A photocopy of the Identification Card or Passport of the Applicant; c. A copy of the Applicant’s school transcript from his/her last two years of school- ing. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered by the National Committee. We thank all applicants for their interest, but only those selected for interviews will be con- tacted by us by February 2012 – see Nominations below. CRITERIA FOR SELECTION The most important personal attribute is the enthusiasm to associate oneself with the aims of UWC. We look for evidence of strong and active commitment to areas of personal interest, maturity, responsibility, tolerance and openness towards dierent attitudes and customs. The personal qualities of enthusiasm, motivation and perseverance in the face of diculties are of crucial importance in the achievement of eventual success. Applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds (including those who have physical disabilities but are functionally independent in their everyday needs) are encouraged to apply. NOMINATIONS The National Committee will shortlist applicants on the basis of the information contained in the application package.
