Research management and social activities, this paper explored the diversity and trend of landscape architecture in the
21st century in terms of environmental, social and cultural aspects. It also illustrated the diversity and unity
of the inner and outside gardens in Meiji Jingu, the science diversity principle of forestry and the gardening
craft, the 2010 International Year of Biodiversity and Satoyama Initiatives. In addition, It introduced the world
gardening history, a stability-based landscape theory and a sustainability-based environment theory.
