What’s the man’s job? What does a tailor do? What is he doing at the moment? What’s he hitting them with? Step 3 Reading Fast reading: tick out the people and things which in the story Put the actions of the tailor into correct order. Read the first two paragraphs in pairs and then number the sentences on the screen from memory Read paragraphs 34 and find the answers to the exercises on the screen Read the rest of the paragraphs and find the answer to the exercises on the screen Follow the tape once and underline the useful expressions Ask and answer the questions of 1.4 in pairs Step 4 Vocabulary study Tell the meaning of the listed expressions from the story Translate some sentences into English using the expressions Find the proper expression to complete the sentences Step 5 Listening Guess the ending of the story with the words given Explain some new expressions. Listen to the tape twice to do true or false. Listen a third time to complete the text. Step 6 Homework Brief discussion on the ending. Do you like this ending?
