It is also vital for its national security. It requires partnership involving the local governments, the private sectors and the communities throughout the country. The government is committed to en­ abling innovation, growth and prosperity for all Australians through strong cyber security. This strategy establishes five the­ mes of action for Australias cyber security over the next four years to 2020: a national cyber partnership, strong cyber de­ fences, global responsibility and influence, growth and innovation, and a cyber smart nation, which is in line with the Aus­ tralian governments broader National Innovation and Science Agenda to help create a modern, dynamic, 21st century econ­ omy for Australia.
