摩托车化油器原理(Motorcycle carburetor principle) Motorcycle carburetor principle Motorcycle carburetor looks very complicated, but you can adjust your motorcycle to the best state by mastering some principles. All the carburetor is working under the basic principle of atmospheric pressure. Atmospheric pressure is a powerful force to put pressure on everything. It varies slightly, but usually fifteen pounds per square inch (PSI). This means that the pressure on anything is fifteen pounds per square inch of pressure. By changing the atmospheric pressure in the engine and the carburetor, we can change the pressure and flow the fuel and air through the carburetor. Atmospheric pressure diffuses from high pressure to low pressure. When the piston of the two stroke engine is at the top dead center (or the piston of the four stroke engine is at the lower dead point), a low pressure is formed under the piston in the crankcase (above the piston of the four stroke engine). At the same time, this low pressure will cause low pressure in the carburetor. Because the pressure is higher outside the engine and the carburetor, the air will rush into the carburetor and enter the engine until the pressure is equalized. The flow of air through the carburetor will drive the fuel and the fuel will mix with the air. Inside the carburetor is a throat, see picture 1. The throat is the contraction part that forces the air to pass through the carburetor. The sudden narrowing of the river can be used to illustrate the evolution of the oil tank. The river speeds up near a narrow river bank and will be faster if the river narrows continuously. The same thing happened inside the carburetor. The accelerated flow of air will cause lower atmospheric pressure in the carburetor. The faster the air flow, the lower the pressure inside the carburetor.
