第37 卷 第2期 电 子 器 件 Vol.37摇 No.2 2014年4 月 ChineseJournal of Electron Devices Apr.2014 Electrically Controllable Behavior of RandomLaser inDye DopedLiquid Crystals* * DUJinhua,CHENHuaihao,WUKai,ZHAO Chong,WANG Yan,YELihua ,CUI Yiping (Advanced Photonics Center,Electronic Science and Engineering,Southeast University,Nanjing 210096,China) Abstract:This experiment studied effects of thickness and rubbing direction of the cells on the electrically controllable behaviorofrandomlaserindyedopedliquidcrystals.Thephysicalmechanismshavebeenanalyzed.We prepared different kinds of DDLC cells with three different thickness,each has three different rubbing direction (double parallel rubbing,double reverse rubbing and double vertical rubbing).The cut off voltage V of different dis thickness samplesarerespectively around2.4 V(100 滋m),2.8V(188 滋m),3.3V(300 滋m),andarenotaffected by rubbing direction.This process allows us to reduce the cut off voltage V of random laser by reducing thickness dis of cells,and provides an available methodfor the applicationsof electrically controllableliquid crystal randomlaser with lovo鄄power.
