Keywords: weightlessness simulation; Fe in diet; serum pro-teins Abstract: AIM To explore the changes of human Fe intake and serum protein during simulated weightlessness.METH ┐ ODS Those who received the test underwent21-day head-down tilt bed rest by the degree of-6.The changes of daily amount of food intake and Fe intake were recorded.The Hb was measured2days before the test as well as on the first, eleventh and the last day of the test.The total serum protein and serum albumin were also measured respectively in their own way.RESULTS The amount of food Fe intake was lowered by16% 2weeks after the test and was restored near-ly to normal level3weeks after.The total serum protein was lowered by5% aftor2week (P lt;0.05and returned after3weeks.The Hb was not affected.CONCLUSION Food Fe intake and total serum protein may be affected in a short peri-od by simulated weightlessness, but would return to normal after a period of adaptation. 0 Introduction Aerospace Medicin
