It is a short-duration (typically 0.5 to 30 cycles) reduction in RMS voltage caused by power system faults and the starting of high-power equipments. Power supply enterprises have been faced with rising numbers of complaints about the quality of power due to voltage sags, for the continuous growth of industrial loads and especially the sensitive equipments in electronics manufacturing industry. An international large-scale electronic enterprise has sited its manufacturing factory at Xi’an. The production substation of the enterprise has experienced several voltage sags since starting operation in 2013, which raises deep concern and discussion from both supply and demand sides. The sags monitored are thoroughly analyzed in the paper from the view of characteristic parameters and influence degree respective
