Over the years, scholars have been exploring the definition, classification, diagnosis and treatment of hepatic failure, but so far no consensus has been reached. In 2005, the American Society of Hepatology published recommendations for the treatment of acute liver failure. [1] has not yet had a diagnosis and treatment guideline for liver failure in china. In order to meet the needs of clinical work, standardize the diagnosis and treatment of liver failure in China, the Chinese Medical Association and the society of the Chinese Medical Association of Hepatology experts domestic infectious diseases, the development of Chinas first liver failure treatment guidelines (hereinafter referred to as the guide). The guidelines have complied with the principles of evidence-based medicine, draw on the latest research achievements at home and abroad, and strive to be in line with international standards. The evidence on which the recommendation is based is divided into 3 levels and 5 grades (Table 1), in which the Rome numeral in parentheses is indicated. The guidelines are designed to guide physicians in making reasonable decisions about the diagnosis and treatment of liver failure, not mandatory standards. Since liver failure is a complex pathophysiological process caused by a variety of etiologies, this guideline is unlikely to include or resolve all problems in the diagnosis and treatment of hepatic failure.
