Composite construction uses the structural and constructionaladvantagesofboth concreteandsteel.Concretehaslowmaterialcosts,goodfireresistance, and is easy to place. Steel has high ductility and high strength-to-weight and stiffness-to-weight ratios. Whenproperlycombined,steelandconcretecanproducesynergeticsavingsininitialand life-cyclecosts. There are two basic kinds of composite columns: steel sections encased in concrete (steel-reinforced concretesectionsorSRC)andsteelsectionsfilled withconcrete(concretefilledtubesorCFT).Thelater can be either circular (CCFT) or square/rectangular (RCFT) in cross-section. In present study, three differentcasesasgivenbelowareconsidered 1. (G+2)IndustrialbuildingwithColumnsasI-sectionwithalternatebaybracing. 2.
