Methods 104 cases of chronic hepatitis B patients, application of clone and rapid detection of HBV pre C termination codon mutation method, 21 cases were detected with mutant, 16 of them were treated with interferon; wild strain 21/ 25 were treated with interferon. Results there were 16 cases of HBV mutation in the anterior C region, 6 cases of interferon treatment, 21 cases of wild plants, 9 cases of interferon response, and there was no significant difference between the two groups. Conclusion HBV, C mutation and wild strain have partial response to interferon, and the response rates are 37.5% and 42.9% respectively. There is no significant difference between the two groups.
