老年人腰椎椎体变形与椎间盘退变的关系（Relationship between lumbar vertebral body deformation and intervertebral disc degeneration in the elderly） Relationship between lumbar vertebral body deformation and intervertebral disc degeneration in the elderly 2010-10-06 Dai Liyang Abstract Objective: To investigate the relationship between the changes of lumbar vertebral body deformation and degenerative changes of intervertebral disc in elderly osteoporosis patients from the perspective of biomechanics and medical imaging. Methods: three dimensional finite element method was used to compare the stress distribution of the lumbar intervertebral disc during the normal and degeneration of the intervertebral disc. The imaging study focused on the relationship between the lumbar vertebral deformation and the disc height and the degree of degeneration. Results: the biomechanical study found that when the intervertebral disc degeneration of vertebral cancellous bone in the central area of the stress concentration significantly reduced, significant changes occurred in the prompt lumbar load transfer method. The results of imaging study showed that the intervertebral disc height of the patients with osteoporosis was lower than that of the normal group (P 0.01), and the degree of intervertebral disc degeneration was less than that of the normal vertebral body. Conclusion: the degree of vertebral deformation is closely related to the height of intervertebral disc and the degree of degeneration in the patients with osteoporosis. When the disc height decreases or has degenerative changes, the possibility of a compression fracture is relatively small at the top of the vertebral body.
