The ceremony may include wedding vows written by the bride and the groom, in which they speak of their love and their desire to make their partner safe, happy and secure, and to be faithful to their partner and their partner alone for the rest of their lives. A unity candle can also be included to make the wedding ceremony even more special. There are three candles in a row, two small ones, with one symbolizing the brides family, and one symbolizing the grooms family. The third candle, in the middle of the two shorter candles, represents the bonding of both families after the vows are said. ;United States Wedding; Traditionally the newlyweds kiss to seal their union.
