SRB . : ; ; ; ; Sulphatereducing bacteria relationship between them and bilogeochemi cal agents in ZhejiangNorth Fujian shelf C EN aowen, LI Peiying, WANG Bo (First Instituteof Oceanography, SOA, Qingdao, 266061) Abstract:The SRB content in thesediment ofthe ZhejiangNorth Fujian continental shelf was determined using themethod of MPN. The results indicated that: thepercentage of occurrence and average content of SRB in the surface sediment surveyed were 84.2% and 436 cell/ g wet sediment (thesame below) respectively, and in theshallow layer of thesediment were 42.4% and 164 cell/ g re spectively. As to the distribution state of SRB contents, it was discoveredthat the percentage of occurrence and average content of SRB in thesurface sediment sureveyed in theinshore area were75.0% and 302 cell/ g, and in the offshorearea were53.3% and41 cell/ g respectively. Enquiring wasmade as to thesignificanceof SRB contentsandtheir distribution condition to the extentof corro sivenessof theenviromment surveyed. An anlysis of the corrclation bctween the SRB content and the contentsof sulphide, organic 3+ 2+ matter, Fe / Fe ,p , E h and electricresistivity respectively revealed that: there were mainly some positive correlations among 3+ 2+ them, especially therewere very significant positive correlationsbetween SRB content andE h, Fe / Fe respectively
