To sol e this problem, a new method w as suggested on the basis of the tw o coordinate systems in FEM softw are. The FEM software con erts automatically the relation between two coordinate systems, thus the deri ation of elastic strength matrix in partial coordinate system is a oided, and the calculation process of the anisotropic model w as simplified. T he calculation results can reflect w ell the effect of the direction of anisotropic rock material on stress distribution of the tunnel.
