Based on lab investigation equipments, including EMP simulator, high transient electric field measurement system and small transient electric field measurement system, experimental investigation of the shielding effectiveness against high transient electric field is carried out for metal enclosure with an aperture.It is shown that the shielding effectiveness of a metal enclosure with an aperture can be measured in terms of transient electric field amplitude ratio with and without the shielding. Based on FFT analysis, the shielding effectiveness of the metal enclosure in frequency domain is also investigated.
