The first part of the article gives a short history of automotive industry from plastics point of view. Th e next part lists the exact types of raw materials which replaced the metal components in our cars already with their advantages, also with answering the question, why it happened. The conclusion of this article is providing a summary of development and research the world is working on and the way we‘re following.
