Petroleum properties calculation This is a easy to use personal computer program, which allows You to calculate hundreds of properties of petroleum fractions, when only a minimum number of easily measured properties are known like density, refractive index, distillation points, viscosity etc. This program calculates also properties of Petroleum Oils, Crude Oils, Gasolines, Naphthas, Diesels, Jet Fuels, Fuel Oils, Heavy Oils, Bitumens, LPG, Natural Gases, Pure Hydrocarbons, Pure Hydrocarbon Mixtures etc. The program is divided into 59 program categories such as viscosity, density and distillation calculations etc. Please look at the table in APPENDIX A and the screenshot in APPENDIX B Each program module contains several different subprograms, for example there are 48 different viscosity calculation subprograms. The total number of subprograms is 744. By this way, every user should find the correct calculation subprogram for own specific application. Please look at an example calculcation in APPENDIX C. The program is based on physical correlations between the measured and calculated properties of petroleum fractions, pure hydrocarbons, hydrocarbon mixtures, etc. The correlation equations are calculated from empirically measured data by multilinear and non-linear regression. The obtained equations have normally very high correlation coefficient between measured and calculated data, typically the correlation coefficient R = 0.95 to R = 0.9995. The program is very easy to use and fast. Results are obtained within 1 second typically. The program allows the calculation of time consuming and expensive laboraory measured properties, like molecular weight, hydrogen content, octane number, cetane number, True Boiling Point (TBP) distillation etc. The payback time for this program is in many cases only from few days to few weeks.
