Mi ed method for predicting vibro-acoustics of FPSO

Abstract:A combined numerical technology is proposed to predict vibro-acoustics of FPSO(Floating Production Storage and Offloading)under
working conditions.The acoustic FEM, BEM and statistical energy analysis methods are applied to the design of ocean engineering structures
with the wide frequency domain and multiple noise sources to meet the urgent requirement in China.The vibro-acoustics characters of FPSO in
the low frequency domain are computed with structural FEM and acoustic BEM, whereas the statistical energy analysis method is used in the
high frequency domain.The computational results in the upper building of FPSO show the validity of the present technology as compared with
the measurement in similar ship.The merits of different methods are also discussed.
