Lai The purp ose of this study was to investigate the use of a microwave synthesis for TiO2 and a dip TiO (a) coating process to manufacture anti-glare glasses. 2 (b) The main advant ages of microwave-hydrothermal processing of TiO2 are (a) rapid heating to a desired t emp er atur e and (b) extr emely r apid k inet ics for cr y st allizat ion . The glass sub str at e was in it ially 500 coated with a uniform layer of SiO2 particles with size ranging from 10 to 20-nanometer. A coating TiO2 equ ipm ent w a s u sed t o pr ep ar e a layer of ant i- SiO glar e n ano p ar t icles on the SiO glass sub str at e. 2 2 The anti-glare layer cau ses light scatting due to its rough sur face morphology. The anti-glare solution is compr ised of differ ent n an o p ar t icle sizes of SEM AFM XRD TiO and SiO . As the surface roughness increases, 2 2 UV-Vis the scattering of light becomes significant thereby reducing the glare. 關鍵字： TiO2
