To satisfy the high-reliability and high-recognition rate in automatic financial documents processing, the error models of document elements are proposed, and several practical methods to establish the high-reliability recognition system are discussed. In this paper, with the help of the proposed error models, an automatic financial documents amount recognition engine is proposed, which includes pre-processing, segmentation and recognition of the amount elements.
