The criminal procedure law, as an organic part of the socialist legal system, has gone through fifty spring and summer and winter, though there were setbacks and stagnation, but still achieved development. At the turn of the century, looking back on the fifty years course of the development of criminal procedure law, summarizes its merits and demerits, will promote the criminal procedural law has important significance in the development in twenty-first Century. I. review of criminal procedure law in fifty years The criminal procedure law is a subject of law which takes the criminal procedure law and the criminal procedure practice as the research object. Chinas criminal procedure law was first born in the late Qing dynasty. However, as a component of the socialist legal system, the criminal procedural law began to develop gradually after the founding of new China in 1949.
