(DEW21) supplies the inhabitants of Dortmund and Herdecke (Germany) with gas, water, electricity and long distance heating. The supplied area is about 302km2, with 610.000 inhabitants and 225.000 gas supplied houses and flats. In autumn 2006 we started to sell PRIMOFIT to DEW21 via a local dealer. In the past DEW21 used GEBO products, after several problems with GEBO he decided to change to PRIMOFIT. The turnover exceeded all our expectations, in the first half of 2007 it was about 40.000 Euro. Now DEW21 is the biggest customer for PRIMOFIT in Germany. Forms of PRIMOFIT: Elbows (30% of sold items) Caps (28% of sold items) Couplings (25% of sold items) Mainly big dimensions: 2“ - 63mm (65% of sold items) 1 ?“ – 40mm (15% of sold items) Many transitions from steel-pipes to PE-pipes: Steel – PE (46% of sold items) Steel – Steel (41% of sold items) For the gas supply service lines DEW21 changes the existing steel-pipes to PE-pipes. The transition from the old steel-pipe house connection to the new PE service pipe is made with PRIMOFIT. Working procedure: cut and clean the old steel pipe make a transition with PRIMOFIT from steel pipe to PE service pipe (see pictures) do the pressure test after pressure test shorten the PE pipe and connect it with an ELGEF elbow and a saddle to the PE main service line cover the PRIMOFIT with a “Kebu” band against corrosion under ground ? perfect co-operation of the +GF+ utility products
