Correspondent: XUE Jun-an, E-mail: xuejunan @ 163. com) Abstract: T o in estigate the deformation beha ior of plate steel during roller le eling in depth, the cur ature integration by elastic-plastic differences w as introduced to simulate and analyze the effect of plastic deformation rate on the le eling results. A method of dispersion calculation was proposed for plastic deformation rate, thus getting the relationships between the plastic deformation rate, residual cur ature and a erage residual stress for different combinations of reduction schedule under conditions of single- alued initial cur ature. The plastic deformation rate cannot be justified theoretically that it is the only criterion for le eling results. How e er, because the initial cur ature is ery hard to determine on line, the plastic deformation rate has to come up to about 80% after roller le eling. In addition, the optimized le eling conditions are pointed out for the single- alued initial cur ature.
