· 820 · v：19f11 ORIGINALARTlCLE ControllingtheRecurrenceofPelvicEndometriosisafterA ConservativeOperation：ComparisonbetweenChinese HerbalMedicineandWesternMedicine* ABsTRACT objective：TocomparetheclinicaleffectofChinesemedicine(CM)andWesternmedicine(WM) forcontrollingtherecurrenceofpelvicendometriosisafteraconsewativeoperation．Methods：Thestudywasa multi-center，randomized。parallelcontrolledandprospectiveclinicaltria1．Patientswererandomlydividedintotwo groups：CMgroup(106cases)andWMgroup(102cases)．Drugsweregiventopatientsdunng1_5daysofthe firstmenstruationafteraconservativeoperationinbothgroups．Patientswithstages Iand 11frevisedAmerican FertilitySociety)weretreatedfor3months，whilethepatientswithstages11IandⅣweretreatedfor6months． ThepatientsintheCM groupweretreatedusingthreeytpesofChineseherbaImedicinebasedonsyndrome differentiation．PatientsinthewMgroupweretreatedusinggonadotropinreleasinghormoneagonist(GnRH-a) orgestrinone．PatientstreatedwithGnRH-areceivedadd-backtherapyofTiboloneTabletsonceadayafter4 ～～～嚣一一 monthsoftreatment．Anycasesofdysmenorrhealchronicpelvicpain，menstruationandanyadversereactionsof patientswererecordedonceamonthduringthepreoperativeandpostoperativeperiodsandonceevery3months duringthefollow-upperiod．Duringthepreoperative，postoperativeandthefoIlow-upperiods，patientsunderwent typeBultrasonographyofthepelvisandmeasurementsofserumCA125levels，gynecologicexamination，routine evaluationsofblood，urine，hepaticfunction(glutamatepyruvatetransaminase)，renalfunction(bloodureanitmgen) 豪～ andelectroacrdiograms．Duringthefollow-upperiodtheyundewrenttypeBpelvicultrasonography，measurement ofserum CA125Ievelsandfurthergynecologicexaminations．ThetwotreatmentswerecomparedforclinicaI
