At the same time, we test the main conclusions of theoretical findings based on 68 countries 40 years’ panel data. We finds that income distribution and labor force participation significantly affect a countrys import demand. The empirical results also show that different combinations of labor growth and labor participation rate will result in different current account trends: the high labor force participation rate and low labor growth will lead to trade surplus, and low labor force participation rate and high labor growth will lead to a trade deficit. As the worlds low-and middle- income countries show a higher labor force participation rate, while the high-income countries have demonstrated a lower labor force participation rate, the empirical results also indicates that, if this labor structure do no change, it can be expected that the coexistence of tra
