Three kinds of eutectic regionswith prime phase ( C-Ni) were observed in the solidification structure of Ni-based alloy. 3 2 The addition of Cr C particles and their most dissolution increase the content of Cr and C in the melt pool, thereby forming more carbon-chromium 3 2 and boron-chromium compounds, which not only changes microstructure of the N-i based alloy coatings, but also changes its solidification process. An analysis about microstructure and solidification process was performed by using XRD, SEM and TEM techniques.
