The Statue of Liberty wearing ancient Greek style clothing,on her head is a crown of seven points that represent the seven contients and five ocean. She is a symbol of freedom,free from the constraints of tyranny,was completed and opened in October 28 ,1886.Statue of Liberty is 46 meters high,with a base of the famous Joseph Pulitzer built to raise 100000 dollars,now the base is an American immigration history musuem. PRODUCER In the mid-1870s, French artist Frederic Auguste Bartholdi was working on an enormous project called Liberty Enlightening the World, a monument celebrating US independence and the France-America alliance. At the same time, he married his love.The same year,Bartholdi had assembled the statue.It is said that he had used his wifes arm and his mothers face as the model. Why didnt he choose the same person to be the model?Maybe the reason is that he felt his wifes face was too beautiful for the statue. LANDMARK The torch in her right hand means liberty.And the declairation in her left hand means independence.The broken chain around her feet simbolizes the ending of savage control.Batholdi designed the statue in the expectation that everyone in the world will lead a peaceful life. On 1984,the Statue of Liberty was listed as world cultural heritage.
