She inherited the tradition of European literature of irony. She with a high degree of artistic consciousness created six works of irony. Irony, as the most striking feature in her novels, is also the artistic essence of Pride and Prejudice. In this novel, she mainly uses the irony in three aspects: first, to performance the structure and theme; second to portray characters; third, to reveal four sections with different marital. The artistic features of the irony in Pride and Prejudice reached the consummate point. This paper attempts to analyze the use of irony in the work from the theme, the structure, the character, the marriage and other aspects of the novel, in order to enjoy the unique style of the work.
