Pride and Prejudice Jane Austen Jane Austen‘s life(1775-1817) Jane Austen was born on 16th December 1775, at Steventon in Hampshire, where her father was a rector. She was the second daughter and seventh child in a family of eight. The household was lively and bookish. The family also enjoyed writing and performing plays for evening entertainment.
