(3) Drawing circuit layout according to the result of design and processing into circuit board (4) Debugging the circuit to make it meet the design requirements 3. Divider Technical Index 4. Design Power Divider Using ADS The design method of power divider: *schematic drawing *circuit parameters optimization and simulation *layout simulation and so on Now lets study the specific process. a. Starting the ADS (2) Create a new project file a. Clicking File — New Project to set up project file name (like divider) and storage path b. Clicking Length Unit to set Length in millimeter (3)Power divider design a. The following picture is a power divider that divides power into two same parts.It has two symmetrical arms and consists of two microstrip lines with different characteristic impedance.Now lets learn the design process of power divider. b. Design Specification *pass band 0.9~1.1GHz *Power-dividing ratio 1:1 *Reflection coefficient of each port -20dB *Isolation between two output ports -25dB *Transmission loss 3.1dB c. The optimization target is mainly S parameters. S21 and S31 are transmission parameters reflecting the transmission loss. S11, S22 and S33 are the reflection coefficients of input and output ports respectively. S23 reflects the isolation between output ports. a. Select the microstrip circuit toolbar in the schematic design window. b. Toolbar becomes into the picture on the right.
