The superficial lymphatic vessel lies in the superficial fascia, along with the superficial vein. In turn , the lymphatic vessels unite to form the lymphatic trunk, There are nine lymphatic trunk in our body , each is in charge of drainage of lymph from different subdivided regions . Eight trunks in four pair on either side of the body, there are,Jugular trunks, subclavian trunks, bronchomediastinal trunks, lumber trunks. mesenteric trunks . Interconnecting lymph trunks eventurally empty into one of the two principal duct: right lymphatic duct and the thoracic duct. The right lymphatic duct receives the right jugular, right sublavian and right bronchomediastinal trunk. carries the lymph from right upper extremity ,right thoracic region and right side of the head and neck. And empties into right venous angle. The lymph from the rest parts of the body empty into thoracic duct. Tonsil is clusters of lymphatic tissue just under the mucous membranes that line the nose, mouth, and pharynx. There are three groups of tonsils. The pharyngeal tonsils are located near the opening of the nasal cavity into the pharynx. The palatine tonsils are the ones that are located near the opening of the oral cavity into the pharynx. Lingual tonsils are located on the posterior surface of the tongue, which also places them near the opening of the oral cavity into the pharynx.
