tiplex (WDM ) optical fi er communication system and W DM optical netw ork. To design an optics
match system of FP cavity, the length of cavity has to e know n. Besides, the length can e used to cal-

culate the Free Spect ral Range FSR of FP cavity Because of the structure of FP cavity its length
cant e measured directly. In this paper a new method is raised y analyzing the cavity field character
and the length is measured y several simple experiment steps.
