CNPC Economics and Technology Research Institute) Abstract ：The factors that are closely related to the oil industry like resources, industry, technology, economy, markets, informatization are moving into a new development period under low oil price, the industry faces the new situation including six periods that resources enters into conventional and unconventional oil and gas simultaneously, industry enters into the structure adjustment, technology enters into innovation, the world enters into the development stage and the society enters into information era. In the meantime, technology innovation of oil industry is driving the development of disruptive technology, which provides new opportunities to the traditional oil and gas industry development, and oil industry faces both opportunities and challenges.
