诠释与想象的空间:批评史中的莎士比亚与 《哈姆雷特 》 杨慧林 内容提要 :在西方文学批评史上 ,莎士比亚与 《哈姆雷特 》始终受到批评家的关注 ,并不断激 发出新的诠释和想象 , 以致在相关的论说中 ,我们或许已经无法断定何为正确 ,却只能去描 述变换不居的错误方式 。“莎士比亚问题 ”也已经不仅是关于作家和文本的争论 ,而是不同 语境从中延伸的理解和意义 。本文以莎士比亚及其 《哈姆雷特 》为个案 ,追索最具代表性的 诠释方法和批评类型 ,特别是当代的意识形态批评 、性别身份批评和宗教观念批评 ,从而既 为中国语境中的莎士比亚研究提供参照 ,也使我们更加直观地理解西方的主要批评流派 。 关键词 :莎士比亚 　《哈姆雷特 》　诠释 　想象 作者简介 :杨慧林 , 中国人民大学教授 、文学院院长 , 中国比较文学学会副会长 ,主要研究领 域为宗教学 、西方文论和比较文学 。 T itle : Sp ace for In terp retation and Im agination: Shake sp eare and H am let in the H istory of Criti cism A b stract: In the h istory of W e stern literary criticism , Shake sp eare and h is H am let have stim u la ted so m any critic s to offer differen t in terp retation s w ith their own im agination that noth ing seem s to be righ t or false bu t “th ink ing m ake s it so ”.
