DOI :10.13929/j .1003 -3289.2010.03.050 · 464 · 中国医学影像技术 2010 年第 26 卷第 3 期 　Chin J Med Imaging Techn ol , 2010 , Vol 26 , No 3 头颈部影像学 MSCT evaluation for narrowing of upper airway under quiet breathing GAO Ping 1 , L I Wu-y i2 , J I N Zheng-yu 1＊ (1.De partment of Radiology , 2.Department of Otolary ngology , Peking Union Medical College Hospital , Chinese Academy o f Med ical Sciences Peking Union Medical College , Beij ing 100032, China) [ Abstract] 　Objective 　T o assess the va lue of uppe r airw ay narrow ing with M SCT under quiet respiratio n in patients with the o bst ructive sleep apnea-hy popnea sy ndrome (OS A HS).Methods　CT scan of upper airw ay w as perfo rmed in 63 patients w ith O SA HS during inspira tion , ex pira tion and quie t respira tion respectively with 16-slice spira l CT .T he state o f the so ft palate , the area o f the smallest cro ss-sectional a rea of retro palatal and retro g lossal space o f the upper airw ay during the dif- fere nt respirato ry phase w ere compared .T he co rrelatio n between these dimensions and the po ly so mnog raphy (P SG)results w ere analy zed .Results　Some particular pattern o f events occurred in 14 patients during the different pha se o f re spiratio n, such as hoo king of the sof t palate , raising o f the sof t pala te , artifacts, e tc.T hese events o ccurred mo re of ten in the ex pira- tion phase .T he cro ss-sectio nal area of the retro palatal space w as the smallest during quiet brea thing .T here w ere statistically significant differences in the smallest cro ss-sectional area of retro palatal spa
