Hence, it is normal for them to dine out.;广州的餐馆整天顾客盈门，这是因为，比起中国其他地方来，广州人特别重吃。 难题及思路 1、经查证，“顾客盈门”可译为“do a land-office business”. 2、经讨论，“特别重吃”译为“attach great importance to eating”. 译文：The restaurants in Guangdong do a land-office business all day in that the Cantonese attach much more importance to eating than any other places in China.;不少广州人喜欢上馆子喝早茶。在那里，小推车上装着各种“点心”，从一个桌子推到另一个桌子，供应顾客。 难点及思路 仔细分析句意，更好地安排后一句话。 译文：Most of them are keen on drinking morning tea at restaurant, where the small handcarts with various “desserts” were pushed from one table to another to serve customers.;每星期天一早，从七点开始，人们就起身上馆子，边喝茶，边吃早饭，边和朋友聊天了。 难题及思路 1、根据英语语言的习惯，把时间状语放到后面。 2、“边……边……”这三个动作之间应如何连接。 根据句意，在喝茶时聊天，在吃早饭时也聊天。 译文：People set about going to restaurant ,in which they chat with their friends while drinking and eating at 7 oclock every Sunday morning. ;初译稿 The average income of the Cantonese is comparatively high in China.
