This study protocol provides a definition for suspicious pulmonary nodules and recom- mends a diagnostic regimen to be followed once these nodules are described. The proto- col provides suggestions only; the exact de- cision for the follow-up strategies is left to the patient and physician and depends on the expertise of the institution.
