Assume that you are the parents of a rebellious white teenager who is learning to play that caterwauling music called rock and roll. Why are you so angry about that kind of music? Is it just the noise, or are there other reasons that you are so opposed to having your child get into rock and rock culture. In this colorful culture era, we are exposed to various forms of performances in our life, including rock and roll of course. More and more teenagers indulge themselves in rock and roll, in order to get away from the real world. As a parent, I deeply detest their addiction to rock music, not because I regard it as noise, but for the harmful consequence that comes with it. First of all, teenagers spend a lot of time and money attending various concerts, and they always turn up the music loud and play rock athrill. They learn to any rockers, dyeing their hair to strange color, wearing weird cloth and behaving crazily. Rock and roll is something that just satisfies those teenagers who are in the rebellious adolescence.( Berthier,2001) Second, teenagers listening to too much rock are likely to develop a short temper, which can be hard to communicate. While they play this caterwauling music loud, it always makes people agitated. It disturbs the work and rest of the neighborhood, which is irritable. In addition, teenagers who love rock develop many bad habits, even taking drugs. Children cannot fall sleep quickly if the child is stimulated after listening to rock music. A poor sleep leads to a poor studying state in class and many other problems. Besides, making bad friends and staying with them may take them astray. Some of the most typical rock spirit is irreligion, hedonism, carnalism, pessimism and nihilism. Those negative spirit and decadent attitude will bring the child an incomplete social value and change the childs characters.
