Abstract Becky Sharp, from the day of the birth in Vanity Fair, has been the concern of critics and scholars. She is one most the most successful figures shaped by Thackeray. Different people showed their different attitudes and various interpretations for the image and character of Becky. In some peoples opinion, she is a careerist and also a loser; but to the others, she is an active and independent practitioner and a winner.
