Oral English Teaching in Chinese Middle School Written by : English Department May, 2011 Abstract Spoken English Teaching can help to improve students’ ability to communicate, therefore it should be placed in a more central role in the English language teaching. According to the problems, today’s students face with their spoken English learning and methods commonly used in spoken English teaching in senior high schools. The suggestions is possible enhance spoken English language learning in senior high school by making more effective use of the teaching materials; creating a more appropriate learning environment; optimizing the approach taken in designing lessons; and considering the types of methods used for spoken English teaching in foreign countries. There are some effective learning strategies that can help to improve the students’ ability to communicate and further improve the formation and development of the students’ ability to think and discriminate.
