Application of Situational Approach in English Teaching 论情境教学法在英语教学中的应用 摘要:伴随着新一轮课程的潮流,素质教育应运而生。情境教学法就是素质教育的产物之一。该文章首先概述情境教学法的定义、原则,进而分析情境教学法在英语教学中的有效性,解释情境教学法的实施方法。 关键词:情境教学法 ;有效性 ;实施方法 Abstract: With the trend of a new round of course reform, quality education came into being. Situational approach is one of the products of quality education. The article first outlines the definition and principles of situational teaching, and then analyzes the effectiveness of situational approach in English teaching, explaining the implementation of teaching methods. Keywords: situational language teaching; function; implementation 1. Introduction 1.1 The analysis of English teaching situational Over the years, our foreign language teaching affected by traditional English teaching has been focused only on grammar and language point, neglecting the creation of special language situation and the training of students’ language communicative ability. As a result ,although students master a large number of grammatical knowledge、sentences and phrase, they still fact an awkward moment that they can not use English to communicative with others in the real social life. In addition, the boring teaching of grammar and vocabulary also gradually reduce students ‘interest and initiative of English learning with the result of decreasing of foreign language teaching effect and foreign language teaching has always been in a “time-consuming 、low effect” position, which make students’ disgust in learning spread widely. It will be difficult to open a new situation if we don’t reverse the current situation. According to creating a true and vivid life situation in English class, we can connect class and real life .Only in this way, can we inspire students’ interest of learning English and exploring the world.
